Dig this: Wolfsburg are the first Bundesliga team to break the 80-goals barrier in 21 years. The last time a team managed to score 80 or more goals was Bayern in the 1987-88 season (83 goals).

I think they have broken even a few more records (i.e. most successful striker duo in BL history, first team to become champion after ranking only 9th before the winter break etc.).

Congrats on the first title (which is a little sensation)! Of course they took profit of the VW millions (having spent 60 millions during last 2 seasons) ... nevertheless, it's very impressive to see what a team Felix Magath formed with the money (he hasn't bought only so-called superstars like Bayern but found the perfect mixture of young talents & experienced players with class).

Decisive was surely the "magic triangle" with Misimovic, Grafite and Dzeko. Simply the best trio since Balakov, Elber & Bobic...

PS: Felix Magath is the 2nd ex-Bayern manager (together with Otto Rehhagel) who won a championship in the duel with his former club after being sacked in Munich.

I just woke up from my celebrations yesterday. What can I say, if you told me that Wolfsburg would have won the title a year ago I probably would have laughed. But then again, they played very well last year and made a similar run after the winter break. I thought 5th place and a UEFA Cup spot was an achievement then, and yesterday I got to see them lift the salad plate. Unbelievable, someone pinch me. Did this really happen or am I just dreaming?

And what a celebration it was. I don't know if I've ever drank that much before in the afternoon!

Yes, he'll become programmed by the German Media to be a Bayern fan just like 45% of this country.....
