They did lose twice at home this year.
Once in the UEFA Cup to PSG.
The other was to Bremen in the Pokal. Hopefully that result isn't repeated here.
If I can find a flight under $500, see you suckers in Wolfsburg!!
Usually, that "stat" only covers league matches. But OK, in all competitions, Dortmund lost two also.
In the UEFA Cup to Udinese and also in the Pokal to Bremen.

I'm jealous. :(
If you are seriously going let me know. I'll give you $ to get me a scarf or something (if that's ok with you)

I wonder how Wolfsburg wants to celebrate the championship ... since the city hall doesn't even have a balcony. :p

Drive around in a few Routans and throw blank car keys at passersby.

WOW to the person if they are able to fly over there for that cheap! One of the good things about living on the east coast of the US, I know there wouldn't be such deals from Arizona overseas.

i've gotten round trip tickets from Newark Int to Frankfurt for $200 round trip before. but that was in January. Generally the same flight in june/july is like 5x the price. not sure about now, though.

Yeah, Air India. The carrier with grumpy stewardesses, broken seats, no AC and Great food. In other words, go for it the food is actually pretty good!:D
But I'm surprised Air India has connections at Newark. Ironically, the only time I used was to get to Brazil lol

us airways is $482, but there is a layover in NC or something that makes the travel time something like 13+ hours.
i'd pay the extra $10 and go non-stop with grumpy flight attendants and great food. AC doesn't matter, it's may.

you don't live in Arizona obviously. We are over 100 degrees.:p
Well, from where I am, I would have to do layover no matter what. I know the only direct flight I have ever done from Phoenix is thru British airways to London.

Well, it seems one player who won't be following Felix Magath is Wolfsburg captain Josué.

According to the kicker article linked here (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/508964/), Josué (giving the "thumbs up in the photo above) has extended his contract with VfL through the 2013 season.
With left back Marcel Schäfer having committed to Wolfsburg through the 2012 season during the winter break, Wolfsburg has nailed down two important players.
Let's see what they can do with Grafite and Dzeko now........

That's the real test, and honestly I think it will be almost impossible to hold on to them. Anyone have an idea what kind of contracts those two are on?
As far as flights to Germany, I was looking up some fares out of NYC to Hanover yesterday morning and there were several options around the $450 range through Lufthansa. Of course they weren't direct flights, but still, that's a heck of a deal. If only I had the funds.

Its too bad I didn't jump on that flight you showed to Hanover althought I thought that was more around $550.
With the 6 hr time difference, problem with alot of these flights leaving Fridayis getting to Germany Sat Am.....then getting to Wolfsburg in time for the game..

The easiest way to keep these guys would be to get a good coach. VFL needs to get creative, and I'm not saying they should find someone famous like Rijkaard or Van Basten(Dumbass). They need to scout the market and not restrict themselves to Veh or someone similar.

I think you are spot on with this. Co Adriannse would be a nice move, but he's probably not interested.
Any other ideas?
