Cool! Great idea for a forum.
I love Italy. Absolutely adore the place.
Rome is probably one of my favorite cities in the entire world. It's simply amazing.

Rome is my favorite, by far. The Roman ruins and St. Peter's are two big things, but there's a million small reasons to love it there, too. There's tons of tourists, and it is a good idea to avoid the eateries in the touristy areas.
For smaller cities, Bruges, Belgium and Salzburg, Austria are great places. Salzburg has a great castle looming over it on a cliff.

I'll go anyplace in Europe that's not called france, where the people understand the idea of personal hygiene, and they are smart enough to speak the good, right, and true American language.

My favorites are Vienna and Prague. Paris and Munich are close behind. My daughter's favorite is Berlin.

Well, AFLette has convinced me that some people do at least bathe in London - it's the dental thing they have trouble with. So I have agreed to go there.

I'll definitely buy you a pint then!
Seriously, I have no desire to visit France.
I absolutely love Italy, but I'm just being biased. Slovenia is nice as well. Croatia was a little, emm war torn, when I was there.
England and Wales are nice to visit although I have yet to make it up to Scotland.
I want to hit Portugal and Spain one day. Ibiza especially :D

Venice is the most unreal city I've ever seen. Jan and I spent two weeks there in 2001. In fact, we were there from September 1st to September 16th, and the Italians were incredible to us on September 11th. Probably one of the reasons I loive Italy so much is influence by how great the Italians treated us, and other Americans, on that horrible day and for the rest of our trip there.
Berlin is another city I realy love. I want to go back. We spent about a month there from July to August 1990. The wall was officially down, but large pieces of it still existed. We had a fantastic time in a nightclub there called "Madhouse," which didn't actually start jumping until about 1:30 or 2:00 am.

Italy, the food is great, the women are beautiful, and football and religion battle it out for the hearts and minds of the people.

If you are ever in the area... the Faroe Islands are just gorgeous.
I also thought Bosnia was also a beautiful country, despite the troubles that they have had. It might not be the best place in Europe to visit, but it is definetly worth the trip.

You are kidding surely - please?
I had the opportunity to go there with my Step-father who's some world authority on Vikings.
I have been to one other place on this earth that is that wind-swept and forlorn - and that's the Shetland Isles off the North of Scotland.
My God, you could tell the Vikings made these places their bases because they are the closest thing to a God forsaken land as I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
But nevertheless, it was an experience, and no-one should ever turn down the possibility of doing saomething different. Just if someone offers you a trip to the Faroes, make your excuses.

South Shields is a ncie place to visit,
*Good beaches ideal if you wanna rape and murder a homeless person.
*Drugs raids in your street at 3am in the morning on the day your taking your maths GCSE exam.
*Stabings for no apparent reason other than to see blood.
*High un-employment, High rates of Domestic violence, High rates of alcoholics, High amount of high people.
*Children on the streets at night stealing cars and taking them to the nearest motorway to set on fire.
All this and many, many more items of intrest when you visit this Quiet little costal town.
South Shields Keepin it real.
