Petr Cech underwent arthroscopic surgery yesterday, at a London clinic,
in an operation designed to deal with ongoing shoulder problems. "The
operation was successful and lasted more than two hours," said David
Travnicek of Sport Invest, the agency that represents the 24-year-old
goalkeeper. "Petr is already feeling good. In the next few weeks, he
awaits rest and intensive rehabilitation." The Chelsea keeper, who
played all 270 minutes of the Czech Republic's World Cup campaign, had
delayed the operation until after the tournament.
