OK manny have tried to customize theyr boots, spray paint them, die them and what not, and i wanted to show people mine and how i did them so they can learn and follow, i used a crafting gold spray for mine, now this whole procedure took me 5 hours one day and an additional 2 hours the next, but perfection takes time and patience. First of all i got some masking tape and taped all teh bits i didnt want gold (the tounge and silver sides), you can tape wich ever bits you dont want but make sure they'r tapped good and in detail (so that they dont run over or less then the bits you want painted). This took me about 30 minutes since i did it in fine detail which is rewarded once you take of the tape, then i took a blow dryer  lol yep, to make the leather heat up so that they take the colour in better, i heated them really hot and sprayed it on streight after, once i sprayd the whole boot i used to blow dryer again for about 2 minutes and then let them dry outside, after an hour i put the second coating on and waited another hour before putting the third one, i then took of all the tape, after i did this i took a spray for protecting shoes against water and mudd you can find this at your local shoe shop, i spreyd the whole boot with it, then i took cotton buds and soaked it in meathelated spirits and ruped of little bits of gold that got through the tape, then i just let them dry for the day, next morning as soon as i woke up i took tehm outside to do the heel and sole plate, i again taped all the bits i didnt want colour and spreyd the sole and heel lightly, then waited another hour and put another very light coating over that one and lastly i put the 4th coating on the leather again to just have a nice finish! i Let them dry for an hour took of the tape, used cotton buds and methalated spirits again to clean of the bits that got through the tape, i have never been more proud of anything i did myself, these boots really reflect a bit of hard work and logic. i hope you guys like them as much as i they as tehy look even more magical in person!!!:)

I think it's a lot of hassle and effort just to get them a goldy colour.

Very nice job. Looks like a legit colorway. The red tounge kinda sticks out though...

What brand of paint did you use?

That is an awesome job. Personally I'd think the heel logo and tongue do stick out, but I also have siad how all preds should have red tongues....
Anyways, IF I pimped a pair of boots that well, then I'd be allowed to have a negative opinion! They look great although it does give me an idea of how I'd best like a pair done!

Will painting the cleats ruin the leather? Well, anyway, splendid job, really professional-like. The gold/silver go well with each other. But yeah, the red tongue sticks out though. Good stuff.

I have a pair of busted pusles I may try this too. Im wondering if using and airbrush to apply the paint would help the process. But if I do do this it'll probabbly like a bright pink, or teal, or something. Just so they really stick out. They'll probabbly end up being a gift, cheaper than buying em miadidas.

What was the brand of paint that you used, and aobut many cans did the process take?

you should try to sell this on ebay, ppl pay big bucks for custimized air force ones, maybe they will for these babies. i think this is the best job so far as far as customizing ur boots on this forum

Excellent job mate! They look fantastic - a brilliant neat and tidy bit of work. And like practice makes perfect in footy, with this...patience makes perfect. VERY impressive.

Thanks alot guys, and applecore lol, I used craft spray which you can buy at any crafts shop, i donno where you live but in aussie spot-light is the place, i used just one big can, it will not demage the leather becuase the colour is just on the surface this is the reason the colour chips of so easy, im traing tonight so i'll try to get pics of them in a couple of hours if im able to, and i dont wanna sell em on ebay becuase i think the paint might chip of, i mean it stays put when i put them on and play around at home but outside tis different and i dont wanna sell someone boots that are just gonna wreck,if it stays i might consider buying another pair and do the same thing and try to do it even better but that all depends if the paint sticks! thanks for the comments again.
