Hi there!

I'm a big SPL follower, and i'm going to be in Glasgow for about 3/4 days, beginning on July 12. Does anybody know if there are any pre-season cups/pre-season friendlies organised on any of these dates??

I've tried checking the Rangers website and it doesn't have this information, can anybody help???

Most of the Old Firm travels for preseason so your probably not going to see a preseason game in Glasglow. Try Hibs or some of the smaller SPL clubs websites and you may find something.

Really, if you have 3 or 4 days in Scotland, there are probably better things to do than a Stenhousemuir v Motherwell friendly. I guess if you really want to see a match it fits the bill, but I wouldn't be expecting much.

It's not too far from Glasgow. About 20 miles of mainly motorway east IIRC.

It has to be said that there aren't much in the way of decent pre-season friendlies when you're here. Morton play a testimonial on Saturday the 15th but it's only against our 1995 team, which is interesting for us of course. We play St. Mirren and Sheffield Utd the week after that, great pre-season for us.

Actually, now that I think about it there is a possibility that Hibs will be playing an Inter-toto cup match on the 15th.If they win their second round match and if they are playing at home first in the third round.

We've won this fixture 3 years in a row, it hasn't done us any good. Maybe it would be better if we lost this one!

It like Rangers playing St Mirren pre season. Losing that game has always been a good omen for us!

point taken - and thanks for the website tip, but it's probably my only chance in the next ten years or so to see any type of scottish football, (and i am a big scott macdonald fan ;))
