Well, the pace of the tournament has finally caught up with me.

I've got that nasty sinus inflamation tickle in the back of my sinuses. If it spirals out of control, it'll wipe me out for a week. If I contain it, I'll be clear in a couple of days.

The smart money says - stay in Frankfurt, skip the England/Ecuador game and get some drugs, sleep, and proper nutrition.

My train to Stuttgart leaves in an hour and a half. I suspect I'll be on it. But I'm definitely on a no-beer, stay away from smokers, try to sleep on the train mode. I think the 18-20 hour days of travel/game/travel/work have taken their toll.

I definitely want to be healthy for Brazil/Ghana.

I went to Germany/Sweden yesterday and I don't think the Allianz Arena crew is really prepared to efficiently security check 66,000 fans and get them into the stadium in time. It took me an hour and a half to get from Marienplatz to inside the first security check.

For the opener, when traffic was spread out (because some folks wanted to see the ceremony, others didn't) it took only about 20-25 minutes.

Hopefully they get things straightened out before the semifinal game back in Munich.

The crowd was a delite. Part of me wishes I had stayed in Munich last night. The Germans were in high spirits and good humor.

The internet in the InterCity Frankfurt is for sucks, though. Technically it is "high speed wireless", but it has been taking me around 8-10 minutes to upload a 1mb photo file from my room. And today, I couldn't get signal in my room. I'm sitting here in the lobby and I'm not alone. There are at least four other laptop users sitting here with me typing away. At least it works here.

I've got to get to the apothecary!

Well, it's the miss one game now or several later math.

That said, I did make the game. I also made a trip to the drug store. God only knows what all I'm taking. :)

Well I got the bad sinus infection and it sucks, You have no motivation to do anythin but lay down and rest. The last day in Germany was friday and I bought this stuff called Aspirin Complex it helped with the stuffed nose. I was feeling the effects in the US v Ghana game and i did take a step back a little in the shouting but that penalty call did cause me to flip out..

Hope your feeling better. For anyone that has had sinus problems, we know exactly what your talking about. It is not a fun time or a little problem. I usually pack a bunch of sinus medication just in case. Knock on wood, I didn't have any problems during my stay in Germany.
