I was actually curious. Why is it that the players do not sing the national anthem before each match for the WC matches I have seen? Also, I have not been hearing the fans singing it as well?

Because fifa only plays the introduction to our national anthom, thats not even close to the complete anthom.

the first part of our anthem is just sound...the lyrics come in in the second verse.. and thats the part that fifa doesn't play.
if you have started to notice the fans at the stadiums started to "tutear" the national anthem. (tu-tu.. turu-tu-tu... and so on) its the fisrt time i hear that going on.. pretty extraordinary.. since we don't have lyrics at the begining we got to show we are there somehow. hehe :)

Lol! How are the players going to sing, when they only play the introduction? The portion that is being played has no vocals.
