I thought this pic was wonderful. Found it on U.S. soccer's website. After such heartache and disappointment, I think it speaks volumes that our players go to thank the fans for their support, and the fans in turn just hug the players and say thanks right back. No jeering them off the field, no booing or whistling, just pride and passion.

Damn proud of our fans at this World Cup. I saulte all of you who made it to Germany, you did U.S. soccer a great service.

I was two seats away from this section... he is hugging his family as this was the USMNT's player's family section. Next to them were the Albrights, O'Briens and Mastreoni's behind them, Cherundolo's behind O'Briens. Lewis and Pope were off to the right of that photo. Each family had jerseys with their son's names on them, so it was too hard to sort it all out. (And I swear someone who looked like Dominic Kinnear was wearing Lederhosen in the front row!)

It was awesome to see them all but heartbreaking as well after the match. So much invested in their boys...
