First, I simply looked at each confederation to see win/loss/draw numbers:

EU SA NA AF AS
Wins 20 8 1 3 1
Draws 5 1 3 1 4
Loss 5 3 8 9 8

Nothing too surprising there, clearly its EUFA, CONMEBOL, <big gap>. everybody else

Then I looked at the results of each confederation against versus each other. I treated a tie as .3 wins for each team, ignored intra-confed matchups, and treated Australia as a part of Asia. The winning confed is on the top of the chart, the loser is on the side.

WINNER

EU SA NA AF AS
EU 0 3.3 0.6 2 0.6
SA 3.3 0 0 0 0
NA 5.6 2 0 1.3 0
AF 7 1 0.3 0 1.6
AS 5.6 2 1 0.6 0

Pts 21.5 8.3 1.9 3.9 2.2
Pts/team 1.54 2.08 0.48 0.78 0.44
wins/loss 3.31 2.52 0.21 0.39 0.24

A few comments: EUFA and CONMEBOL are very evenly matched (3-1-3). CONCACAF sucked big time (only win over AFC). CONMEBOL only lost to EUFA (5-0 in other games).

EUFA and CONMEBOL are clearly still the top two confeds, with a big drop and then very little differentiating the other 3 confeds.

(There may be some errors in the numbers, I copied the results by by hand and its late.)

Nice chart you got there. It's most probably already been mentioned, but looking at those results, I couldn't help but think that things at the WC would've been even better if the playoffs had been altered so that it was CONMEBOL (Uru) vs CONCACAF (T&T), and AFC (Bah) vs OFC (Aus). Though T&T provided some good underdog excitement, I think Uruguay may have put in a better show (e.g. the 2002 Group A thriller between Senegal and Uruguay)
