For the record Ruud Van Nistelrooy is not exciting to watch. He just scoreds simple tap-ins. I'm not saying he is not a good player, Heck he's one of the BEST finishers in the world, but he's not exciting to watch.
Here's my list of best YOUNG players to watch.(not in any order)
1.Cesc Fabregas- you know all about him
2.Wayne Rooney- you know all about him
3.Lionel Messi- same as Cesc and Roon
4.Charles N'zogbia- This Kid plays for Newcastle. He was brought to replace Robert, Luque was also bought but he flopped making Charles first choice left winger. and what did he do you ask? amazing runs, loads of trickery, bags of pace, scored about 7 goals this season (??? not sure on that) and also assisted Newcastle to 7th place and a place in Intertoto. watch out for Charles. He is only 18 or 19.
5. Joey Barton- he is 23 and plays for Man City. some people say he plays like Gerrard and ironically has the same number as Gerrard (8). Joey posses Box to box qualities and has a keen eye for goal (he scored about 9 this season). He has pace and is good in long range efforts like his goal against Charltonhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UamHG-5Ib08&search=joey%20barton%20charlton
6.James Milner- Once held the record for youngest player to play in the prem. after watching him play you can see why his coach was so eager to thrust him into first team action. Milner posses dangerous crosses and helped villa with 8 assists this season. He has pace and trickery and is seen as the longterm successor of Nobby SOlano. He is only 19 me thinks.
7.Arron Lennon- He posses Pace, skill, dribbling and has enjoyed similar success SWP had in the previous with Man City. However Lennon needs to work on his end product.
8. Nuri Sahin- He is a young turk who plays for Dortmund. He is fast and is a very intelligent playmaker. He has attracted the likes of arsenal, Chelsea among many clubs, but chose to saty in Dortmund because he can currently get more playtime in dortmund than in Arsenal or Chavski(you see SWP this kid is17 and he's smarter than you!). He wears number 10 for his country and could be a star in the next world cup or even Euro.
9- Samir Nasri- the Marseille playmaker is a tricky, pacey and amazing player. He is great on the ball and has like Sahin attracted many bigname clubs like arsenal. He shows maturity beyond his years and gives experienced players problems making them look like schoolboys. He is Dubbed the next 'Zidane' and is currently being chased by Man City for a loan deal.
10- Diego- Played for Porto and santos. He is an offensive midfielder, who posseses dribbling skills and has an intelligent football mind. He has recntly fallen short of form, but will regain form. He is young and has abright future ahead of him. He was purchased by werder Bremen for 4 million pounds
11- Chavdar Yankov of Hannover- He is a great playmaker and has bagged 4 goals for Hannover96. He has also emerged into an important player for Country bulgaria.
12- Dennis Oliech- The Kenyan star who plays for Nantes FC is making a name for himself. He was bought by Nantes inm the jan transfer window. He had been battling to shake off an injury and when he did he bagged in 4 goals for nantes despite making substitute appearances. He posseses Pace, Strength and clinical finishing.
