If your lumpen soccer-hating friends need to see tangible proof that the NFL's popularity is a media produced mirage, and the media is woefully out of touch with the rest of the world show them this Google Trend comparison:

http://www.google.com/trends?q=soccer%2C+nfl&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all

If the link doesn't work, go to google, type in "trend" go to the site, and type in "soccer, nfl" to get the results.

Thanks

Not much of a surprise, soccer is undoubtedly an internet-fueled sport in the US, because it has to be.

Are you trying to say Futebol is more popular in the U.S. than Football, I gotta disagree man, Futebol might be gaining popularity but its not more popular than Football right now man. Futebol already owns like 95% of the planet.

Wouldn't it be more fair to compare MLS and NFL? ;)

No, because mls in heavily inflated by multiple listing service (a real estate thing) sites. NFL wins (easily) anyway.

You can make these google trends show anything just by wording your queries carefully.

You spent irreplaceable minutes of your short time here on Earth to post that idiotic response?

Let me guess, your friends call you 'the stupid fat guy'.

What is the point of this thread anyways? are you trying to prove that the NFL's popularity in the U.S. is a facade and that futebol/soccer is more popular?
