Did anyone see what actually happened to him? I watched the Bayern game against Leverkusen, and whatever happened must have been off the ball, cause they didnt really show anything that would give away what happened. Also, the FSW commentator didnt give much insight, they should have the German on SAP! According to kicker.de, he only has to wear a cast for two weeks, and then I'm guessing its the rehab that will keep him out 4-6 more.

While I never trust my translation of medical terms (I'm still trying to come to terms with the injury St. Pauli's Henzler suffered last year, which translated as a torn testicle--Hodenriss), it sounds like Ballack has a torn MCL (Innenbandriss). Certainly, two weeks in a cast and a 4-8 week recovery period total is entirely consistent with a 2nd degree MCL tear.

yes it's true that it's an MCL tear in Ballack's left leg - which is quite unfortunate because he seemed to be returning to the goal-dangerous form that has been missing from his play for some time
