well it took him 3 WC and ronaldo's secret nike deal and clause which got him in the Brazil team for this years WC
Nike had forced Ronaldo to play in the match even though he had just suffered a convulsive fit. Some believed that Nike had bought itself a say in team selection. 'Disney didn't sell Mickey Mouse, but the CBF sold the national team to Nike', said congressman Aldo Rebelo, who set up the inquiry into the Nike deal. You are clearly working for Adidas, and have a vendetta against Nike, just like Sirmanchester.
Its really ridiculous.
Anyhow, Ronaldo, as overweight as you want to claim he is, can still score goals, and he showed it yesterday. Even making some runs you thought he couldnt, or wouldnt make. Hope he breaks it, so a South American can be the top scorer in World cup history.

for the record i don't work for adidas as for my so called vendetta against Nike......well its true they have a deal were they put Der Blobby in the team and so if he breaks the record it has tainted him and football. thats a kind of cheating in my book. you only break the recourd because your sponsor gets you in the team, when clearly you are not 1st choice. thats my vendetta against corporate corruption spoiling the game. http://edition.cnn.com/2006/SPORT/football/05/31/france.psg/
As a "South American can be the top scorer" I don't care who is, as long as it done in fairness. no pulling string to get you player in the team.... players in any team should only be there on merit FULL STOP

You make it seem as if he shouldnt be playing at all. Its not as if he was shit, and was handed a spot. He is(was) just that good.

I believe no matter how he got there, he is still the one scoring those goals, and thus deserves to be the topscorer.

He was shit. Very, very shit. Fair play that they took the risk or someone pulled a few strings to keep him in the side but he was woeful and didn't even play that well in the Japan game. I really hope he gets another goal (and therefore the record) soon, so Brazil can stop being laboured with him playing. He might have scored a few but unless he pulls his finger out Brazil are basically playing with 10 men.

Its no better playing with Adriano (who is ridiculously out of form, and doesnt take part in the build up). As long as he scores goals and wins games, there isnt a problem.
Even then, Ronaldo wasnt that bad against Japan.

Take Ronaldo out of the line-up and Brazil loses it's hold over the title of biggest contender.

B0ll0X they win it......when they face a good team Der Blobby will be marked out the game by any decent defender.

Like any decent defender marked him out of the game in La Liga? No matter how fat he might be, he still scores goals.

Have you watched any of his performances in the WC? He's been slated by everyone and rightly so. He is not the same player that played in La Liga last season. Something is clearly wrong with the lad, as he's been shit.

Ronaldo's teammates spent the whole game feeding him balls on silver platters so he could get the record. They purposefully passed up their own golden scoring opportunities on a few occasions to feed him the ball. The whole thing resembled a farewell exhibition match. I bet Ronaldo doesn't play more than 60 minutes the rest of the torunament.

It's really a shame.
He'll never be better than Gerd though, no matter how many goals he will have in the end.

He scores a couple of simple goals against the mighty Japan and suddenly he's a great all-time striker? Give me a break, Brazil are carrying him. It's a disgrace he gets picked over Robinho. They just feed the static Ronaldo pass after pass until one lands at his feet and he takes a free shot.
If he didn't play for Brazil he wouldn't have had a shot on goal yet.
Ronaldooooo!

Just for the record, Ronaldo created most of his chances against Japan including his second goal which was amazing. He wasnt spoon fed in that goal all you haters and Muller's dickriders.
Ronaldo the greatest striker of all time, deal with it. Muller, who? Even he, would agree with me.

You call his second goal simple? What planet are you from?
