I wish FIFA would say something about the refereeing, rather than just pretending everything's fine. There have been some bizarre games at this cup. Did that one Croatian guy get three yellow cards in the same game?

Poll is an idiot who will hopefully never referee a professional match ever again. He never had control of the match and only got worse as the game continued, culminating in the complete shambles at the end. He did nothing right and someone is going to need to write an essay length post to highlight his various failings. Same old English, always cheating!

6. What in God's name is Graham Poll doing on the Korea/Togo match? One can only hope it's part of a plan to save him from the marquee teams so he's available for almost any knockout match.

Yeah, let's have him in a knock-out match... You know what... Let's have him reff all the knock-out matches. In fact, he should reff all the World Cup Final games until he dies or decides he's too good to reff meaningless World Cup games! :cool:

Part of the problem is that FIFA set this upon themselves. They instructed the referees to use the cards "freely" or else go home. Therefore, they games we're watching today is a direct result of this decision. FIFA will NEVER step up.

Was Poll going to give him a second yellow but when the other Croat player accosted him physically, Poll gave the second Croat a second yellow and not Simunic? That is the only thing I can think.

Then again, I don't know the Croat players very well and was flipping back and forth most of the game.

ALL 5 of that TEAM are going to take heat and be punished. An AR or 4th or SOMONE from that team should have been out on the field if the damn headset wasn't working properly.
