Which teams have deeper talent? Which teams can use their subs, and still do the job? Argentina? Brazil? Discuss.

i dont think anyone is as deep as Brasil and Argentina is, remember they still have Juninho and Robinho on the bench and Cris and Fred have done well for Lyon not to mention Gilberto Silva

Argentina has Tevez and Messi on the bench and a few other reliable players aswell

Italy

They can take of Gilardino, bring on Inzaghi, Toni
Totti off, Del Piero on
Nesta off, Materazzi on...
Gatusso off, Barone on

Probably Italy or Argentina. I wouldn't say Brazil, they have little to no cover for many positions.

i have to disagree they have just as much cover as Argentina and Italy

Edit:my point proven today as Brasil did use many different players, including a switch of GK in the second half, although he wasnt really tested but he isnt bad and as a bonus he is a free-kick specialist

cicinho in place of cafu
Gilberto in place of R.Carlos
Gilberto Silva in place of Emerson
Juninho P. in place of Ze Roberto
Robinho in place of Adriano

note that Cris and Lusiao are good replacments in case Lucio or Juan get injuried and Fred is good in case Robinho or Ronaldo both get injuried not to mention you could play Ronaldinho as a forward if you like

this might be a controversial call but I think Ivory Coast deserve to be in the top 5. they have subs of quality on almost every position.

Raúl, Cesc, Reyes, Joaquín, Salgado, Iniesta... 3 European Champions, 2 finalists. Our bench is excellent too.

Spain
Argentina
Italy
Brasil
Portugal
England

I like this list, except maybe England, they could have a deeper team if England did some better choosing of strikers, if Rooney reagravates his injury, they are screwed.

Edit: Add Holland to the list.

Wrong X 2

1. Ivory Coast is obviously not in the Top 5. It is obvious you cant make an objective analisys of anything realted to the WC.

2. If you have to mention an African team, I would go for Ghana...both its starting forwards were suspended after the Italy game and those who substituted them didnt stand out for their lack of skill.

When are you going to come back from la-la-la land and face the reality?, whiich is that Ivory Coast was only average.
