My first guess would be the one of Serbia & Montenegro.

C'mon. It's got to be the whoever Togo coach that resigned, then came back, and then coached a stinky team in a stinky game. He's either fired or will resign.

Well, I would rather sack the whole team in this case. They were the ones refusing to play unless they get their fees.

That's already a fact. Petkovic already said after the loss to Argentina, that after the WC he will resign.

While it's not a sacking, Huddink's contract with Australia is over at the end of the World Cup. After that, he becomes the Russian National Coach.

Australia are actively looking for a new coach at the moment with an offer on the table for Gerard Houllier.

There also has been interest with Martin O'Neill and Sam Allardyce according to this morning's papers.

That could happen also.

Don't stop there. Clean out the whole FA that no doubt had the Togo players very nervous about ever seeing a dime of the money promised to them.

Togo isn't going to qualify again anytime soon anyway. Scrap it all and start with the country's youth program.

You betcha! That is such a done deal.

Can you nice people out there in "true" soccerland recommend a replacement?

Qualifications:

1. Must know more about coaching than what he learned on the Dummies Soccer Guide to Coaching a National Team...
2. Must have at least played in some international level extensively, besides Canada or Mexico...
3. Must be awake, or at least look awake when the cameras are on during a critical tournament like the World Cup...
4. Must articulate and speak intelligent soccer talk or lingo especially when being interviewed for a world wide audience...
5. Must be able to just say NO to USSF's politicking and inept interference with the program...
6. Must be aggressive in line up decisions, rather than be weepy eyed and namby pamby...
7. Must be able to personally recognize and identify talent to bring in to the squad instead of letting incompetent scouts/assistants do it for him...
8. Must be accountable for mistakes and willing to adjust IMMEDIATELY...
9. Must have gone further than a lucky run to the quarters in WC rounds (preferably have won it!)...
10. Must be European or South American (preferably Dutch or Brazilian!)...

Just my initial wishlist...

Hahaha...it's okay. Nine out of ten is pretty good enough for the US. Maybe he learned how to coach from his being ordinary as a player. He sure has been a god send to S. Korea and Australia. But I think Russia has him after this world cup. Thanks for your input.

Erikkson is leaving, but his failure of an assistant wants sacking as well, he's played his part in our recent disasters.

I don't see what that has to do with management ability. Some of the top managers are pretty calm on the touchlines, and aren't very articulate.

Ummm, that was sort of in jest/sarcasm of our current head coach who swallows his words and uses general sports terms while being interviewd on ESPN (worldwide audience) about his poor performance (hence, he is quite inarticulate)...plus, everytime the cameras were on him, he was often lethargic, compared to the more impassioned and physically proactive coaches of other teams.

Having great PR skills is almost as critical as being a great tactical coach/manager...thus, has a lot to do with being a good manager...
