What a freakin game. A very enthralling match for us neutrals, I can't imagine what a fan of either team may be feeling.

2 missed penalties for Australia and most bizarre of all, 3 yellow cards for one player
But good stuff by the men in gold to keep faith and score the equaliser. Thank god Kewell finally found the back of the net :p
And bring back Schwarzer!!!

Schwartzer better be in goal for the next one though.

I can't believe that the ref didn't handle out even more reds to Croatia... At least two more players were up in his face shoving him in the last five minutes!

I generally agree with you in terms of luck but in his case, I think it's magic. Just amazing. In fact, I rooted for the Aussies only because of him, not that there's anything wrong with the Roos for you Aussies out there.

Yikes. Great to see a team show up. I guess I'm adopting the Aussies. They sure deserve it. Bummer about Emerton, though.

The best and worst perfromance by an Australian seen there. not since Mick Lewis have I thought this, Kalac will not keep again for Australia, in the World Cup , if not ever, i just can't feel certain he will save anything. But H Kewell, what a dominant performance, caped off by the amazing goal. I am in awe of you H.

A heartfelt congratulations to the Socceroos! Well done. Now beat Italy. Let's hope Jorge Larrionda doesn't officiate that one.

Emerton has been as much a liability as an asset in these games. Bad decisions and poor execution have set up a number of open counter-attacks in these finals.

What the heck happened there in the last 20 seconds? Penalty? Foul? Third yellow card?
Poll should have made sure the carded player was off the pitch, the penalty should have been taken, and then the game was to be ended.
The whole thing with the third yellow card reminds me of a game back in 1979 when the refs assessed a third techincal foul on a player and a coach. (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/nets/story/175597p-152892c.html)Part of that game had to be replayed.
FIFA needs to finish this game correctly.

I've watched almost every game so far, and the Aussies have put on quite the show all three times, saving the best for last. Since I'm an American of partial Czech descent, I wasn't having the best of days. But I know who I'm rooting for the rest of the way...OI OI OI
