nope sven has made his final choice squad. If any player gets injured, no player that hasn't been picked already isn't allowed to replace him. so now micky isn't going to take part in the remaining games were stuck with just 3 strikers! rooney thats not 100%, crouch who is just a donkey and a 17 year old boy that hasn't even played ********ing premiership football! svens a IDIOT :D The confidence that i once had has just drained completely :eek:

It's not unfair. Any squad could get a freak injury like that, and they would be in the same situation.

Thats exactly why it is fair, all teams have to play by the same rules. Its upto the managers to ensure they call up enough players in each position to ensure sufficent depth in case of these freak injuries. But it definatly sucks to see Owen go out, although he hadn't played the best thus far, I was expectiung him to pick up his game especially when playing alongside Rooney.

Germany was allowed to call up extra players in Euro 1996 because they actually went out of players for the Final. They barely had 11 healthy players. They turned their backup keepers into field players. In the end, they called up no one.

BTW, England is not the only team with injury problems. So it is not unfair. Every team has the same problem. Sven is just dumb.... or he is secretly wanting to help Sweden with a weakened English team.:)
