Yes you won some games but how did you win. It was ugly, ugly , ugly .......... They say a good team finds ways to win even if they play badly......guess you did that allright but the US did hold your aces to zilch with all of 8 field players defending the US goal, your stifling defensive play and dependence on counter attcks will sooner or later cause you grief .... remember Argentina also sat back and defended after going ahead 1:0 ......

YOU'VE got to be kidding me, you truly do have a martyr complex. Do you actually watch the games, the replays, the fouls that do not exist but are called in YOUR favor.....is diving in front of player to agitate for a penalty fair play or beautiful???????? If it were me I would have given the diver a red card, not a penalty against the infringed player.

I'll tell you what FIFA needs to do. Everytime a a supposed foul occurs and a player goes down on the ground, he should be required to leave the field for a minimum of 5 minutes.....then we would see how often the Italians or any other team for that matter, is willing to take a dive and roll around in agony only get up magically healed a few seconds later?????? It is the diving and the obvious play acting that is irritating to any spectator, not just myself. Even non-soccer people laugh at them. Anytime a player rolls on the ground for any extended time he should be off the field for 10 minutes and I'll bet that diving would relatively quickly, become a thing of the past.
How good is a team that relies on fooling the referee into calling non-existant fouls and if you say it is part of the game you'll be unequivocally wrong, no where in any of the rules does it say that if you are fouled you must fall on the ground and roll like a top???????? It makes a mockery of a beautiful sport and that is why I call the Italian game ugly. For your own benefit, count the number of rolling players on Italy's team and any other team and time the wasted minutes, I would say that Italy spends more time on the ground than any other team excepting perhaps Brazil and I dislike that from them as well, although they do play a very beautiful game. It is not just the Italians but I will say you have developed it into a Romeo and Juliet tour de forza. That's a pun if you must know....
Personally I don't care one iota who wins or loses this game, I just want to see a game not continually interupted by rolling Italians, or Germans either for that matter.
Let them keep the ball rolling, let the players remain on their feet, it makes for beautiful soccer regardless of the score.

A) we do not count on the referees calls for us to win games.. take a look at most of our matches usually won by 2 3... aussies we were screwed from the beginning so we were desperate.. i am sure Italy would not be the only team tryng to win as much calls as they can

B) It was no dive... in another thread i dont remember they show a clip of Neil actually holding his foot when Grosso tried to step him and his other foot was dug under his body when Neill fell on him

C) We do not play ugly soccer, we ve been creating a lot of creative chances from dead ball oppertunites and in play alot when Totti and Pirlo get the ball

D)About the diving incidents you mention of taking out a player for 5 minutes.. that would be just crazy to do that.. i think the referee should be able to communicate with someone who can get instant replays of what just hapend and tel them if it was a dive or not.. or do they already do that.

E) Rolling Italians? how about when Nesta got off, we didnt see him rolling, he asked for a sub and hes got it and he missed 2 and going to miss 3 games already. How about Buffon slamming his head against the post? nnnop he didnt roll. see we just have a name of doing this.. we dont actually do this as often as maybe other teams do, but since the name is already on us it will always be unfortunantly
