Will someone with contacts at ESPN please tell the commentators to stop talking about the other game? My only defense is to shut off the commentary on the first one I choose to watch, so I can watch the second one with no foreknowledge.

chances of that happening are nil, especially in situations like group B and E where results in one game are depended on the other.

Why wouldn't you want to know about the other game? That's a really dumb thing to complain about.

Speaking of pre-emption, according to the AP, Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals was pre-empted in Salt Lake City for a tape-delayed broadcast of a Real game.

That's awesome. Soccer pre-empting the NHL. It makes sense for SLC, because why would they care if Carolina was playing Edmonton? It does not impact Utahns' lives in any way.

Man that was a funny read. Is she being at all ironic? It's like a caricature of objective journalism.

"Oh yeah, well British people have bad teeth and will seemingly put mayonaisse on anything! And we saved your asses in WWII!"
