This is not about Adu but is a true published report. Sorry for not saving the link.

Word has it that another 14 year old has already been called up into an Under 17 national team. This Italian youth national team player is reported to be the son of Diego Marradona. DNA tests are said to have substantiated his father, though Diego is reported not to have contact with the boy.

The Italy youth international is on the books and plays for Napoli. The player is rumored to be assigned on loan this coming summer to a another team possibly in Scottland.

And this would be in the USA Junior Team forum why? Interesting corollary to Sir Freddy, but not relevant to this forum.

I think that this was on ESPN's soccer page and I think that he is actually 16.

they actually talked about it on FSW report last night.

he is going to be loaned out, probably to a team in scottland b/c napoli does not want to loan him out to another italian side where he would come back to haunt them in a youth game...

i will say one thing; he has his fathers current stomach...the kid was a little on the chubby side.

here is a yahoo.com article.

He's 16, not 14.

His dad looked particularly bad at the Copa Libertadores the other night.

So what if he is Maradonna's kid... it isn't like Diego taught him everything he knows.

There were articles about this kid at least a couple of years ago. This is not particularly breaking news.

In the clip they had on FSWReport, he looked like he was 10. I think it was from several years ago. No way he was 16 in that video.

Wasn't a USMNT youth player, so since the report was on FSW, it seemed more appropriate here.
