..somewhere in the dark, dank bowels of a remote German castle..
S: So..... is he... ready?
M: sir, he's been eating raw meat and nails for a couple of weeks now but please, I beg of you, don't do this, it's too soon, who knows what could happen!
S: You defy me! They may mock me, they have always mocked me. They said hargreaves is a total waste of space but they cannot comprehend my new thinking on this matter. They said I am tactically inept and a bit of a twat but I will show them, I will show them all. The world will know what I have done!
M: please for the love of god no, it's against nature!
S: Silence! Unleash The Beast.

I really hope Rooney shows his quality to the world today. No doubt he is champing at the bit to start, if his injury/fitness holds up and he keeps his temperament then he can do some damage to the Swedes.

Rooney's on a hiding to nothing tonight. Unless he plays better than Maradonna in his prime the whole world is gonna say, 'He ain't fit, he's overrated, the Swedish defence had him sorted etc etc.
On the other hand he just might.....just might.....set the world cup on fire. Go on my son!

I just don't get any of this Rooney expectation. Regardless of what that twat Sven claims, Rooney is not match fit nor sharp. Add that to your tactical farce in midfield and lack of fit fowards. Rooney will struggle to play in his preferred position, as Crouch likes to drop deep and Lampard/Gerrard will further complicate the area between the midfield and 'strikers'. Even if he does get on the ball and is able to do something, who the hell is he expected to assist?
