I say yes. He is an average defender and he is hopeless going forward . His crosses are a joke.

Holy ****. First Lampard. Alright, he's not in the greatest form. Understandable. Then J.Cole, out of nowhere, who has been one of England's best players in the months leading up to the WC and he looked dangerous against Paraguay. Now Gary ****ing Neville, the only decent RB England has?!! This forum is a joke, or this better be a wind-up.

As soon as he's fit, back to the bench with Carra.

My bad, it sounded like the original poster was referring to his lack of quality, which is ridiculous considering Carragher (great CB, not a RB) and Hargreaves are the back-up.

drop the whole england team and clone another 10 peter crouches.
that is the only way we can win.

Carra has never been able to reproduce his club form for country and the thought of Hargreaves at RB in the World CUp is enough to make some people find religion.

that is the only way we can win.Nonsense, just clone nine. We need at least one Nappy Rash in the side. Someone has to run around the whole match.

1 is enough to win the whole thing. 11 would be an overkill.

Neville has IMO been out of form. but he's decent so let him lpay his game.
I always wonder why Sven Overlooks promising Tony Hibbert, he's a decent RB even better than Luke young. He's the best thing to come out of Everton youth besides oviously Rooney.

Sven should have brought another right-back option to Germany. Regardless, Neville is key because Beckham does not provide any width. Just look at what doesn't happen down the right flank because Carragher doesn't bother to make overlapping runs.

I was just wondering, how do most people rate Tony Hibbert? He's widely known as the best tackler at Everton, and there have been lots of calls for a shot at England, and he is always a RB, unlike Carragher. Is he better than Carragher?

I swear people must get mixed between gary and phil neville. I can't understand where the hate for Gary Neville comes from. he is a very steady defender and contrary to belief is excellent going forward and a good crosser of the ball. plus he is a terrific leader.
