DFL rejected the public reproaches by Uli Hoeneß. The Bayern GM was ordered to take back his suspicions against DFL and to excuse for the disrespecting quotes against the institution of DFL and their members. As reaction to a report in the magazine Stern, which said that Bayern booked the TV contract under the catgeory of "Other income" (=a column for everything undefineable and small cash), Hoeneß put the behaviour in a context of economic criminality and announced that in future Bayern Munich would not send any contracts, but would force DFL to come to Munich for getting an insight into contracts.

DFL reacted in a press releade: "The reproach, next to bank houses, only DFL was in posession of the meanwhile published income balance and that way might have told the information to the public, is incredible and is rejected with all consequences. Reliability with sensitive data is high priority. Also in the future, Bayern Munich will have to send all contracts, which are essential for the licensing. There will be no exception from the principals, which are valid for all teams."
