Saudi players will accept the Man of the Match award, provided the sponsor, Anheuser-Busch, is not mentioned.

Boy, that was a close one.

What's the difference??

edit: deleted result

That's a relief, because I'd hate to see them not celebrate their victories.

Hey, what's the score right now?

What's the difference??

Also, they are trailing four nil at the half with Ukraine, and they probably will never have to worry about this.
Thanks for spoiling the game for me. Please put an R in the thread title.

KSA 0 - 176 UKR, Full time.

Or something like that; the scoreboard in Hamburg melted midway through the second half.

Sorry, if you edit your post too, it'll be gone.

So...I guess MotM isn't going to Saudi Arabia?

I feel bad if I "spoiled the game" for anyone, but seriously, why would you click on a thread called Good news for Saudi Arabia when you're taping their match and trying to avoid results?

Stupid cannot be countered by stupid. Just don't do it next time.

Excuse me? Go ******** yourself.

I wasn't intending to do it again, and I apologized.

OK, I'm done trying to reason with people.

I'm going to have to rule in favor of Gioca on this. I called permanent (R) on this blog back when the United States was ranked 5th in the world.

I gotta agree with Gioca, but "go **** yourself" posts serve no purpose waste space.

Anyway, If I'm waiting to watch a game that i've taped I don't touch the internet. Yahooo is my homepage and they have results up that I could accidentally see at times. Not a good Idea to be on a soccer board thumbing through posts if you are trying to keep the result a secret. Show some restraint and wait until you can watch it.

To be honest, the English and Germans have asked that the sponsor not be mentioned during their games as well.

Something about beer taste and purity laws, apparently.

Purity laws? Maybe. I think it more likely they have actually tasted Budweiser and know it is a crap beer with which they don't want to be associated. :-)

I'm going to drink one right now in your honor.

And no worries Gioca. I wasn't too concerned about watching the ksa-ukr game in blissful ignorance, but it would've been nice ;)

Don't worry, the Saudis can make up for it versus Spain. I'm sure that will be a tight encounter.

Germans are all about purity laws. Beer based an otherwise.

Something about beer taste and purity laws, apparently.Has anyone ever had one of the big American mass produced brands in Britain or Europe? Are they still made with adjuncts (like here in the States) or do they actually use barnley like a regular American lager would?
