Unlucky france, as a Arsenal fan I wanted to see france win but they have been flopping recently.
It was funny, end of but at least Gallas showed some passion, some people just dont care, he could of done better though.
Hope you boys go though.

Barthez couldn't do anything on the ball, it had already done wonders touching it before the ball went in.
The blame is on Sagnol on that one. Instead of bashng the elders who DARED commenting on Les bleus performance, he ought to beconcentrated a bit more.
Gallas fury is rightly directed at Sagnol after the goal.

the first blame is on sagnol, you're correct.
but after that, maybe barthez le nabot couldn't do anything to get that ball, but practically any other keeper present at the WC could have, and especially YOU KNOW WHO!
geez, fab's looking at that ball out of his reach like it's a mile high, but take a good look at how high it really was. pathetic.
just pathetic.

Guignol makes a little fixation on Barthez...I don't want -yet again- to appear like his personal lawyer, but frankly I really felt it was just a matter of time at the end of the match because of the French back tracking...Coupet is no super-hero, he did not save Lyon against Milan either...

Barthez hasn't caught a ball cleanly in this World Cup yet. How about that pass he threw .5 meters almost straight to the Korean striker. Brilliant really.

So much love...Did France drop an A bomb on someone recently ?

I'm glad he 'uncleanly' cleared that Swiss ball at the end of the match...
Anyway, my point is : On a franchement d'autres chats à fouetter en ce moment. But if you just want a scapegoat, go ahead. I'm not getting on the band wagon though. Yet, I wouldn't be bothered if Coupet played against Togo. It might be our last WC game anyway.

In the end, only one team will win it all; you've had hot teams out there, Argentina, etc. and others, that sure haven't been. No room to laugh at others. Maybe the guy doesn't like Chelsea.

Let' see, Barthez is 182cm and Coupet is 181. Barthez is far better and "known" for his acrobatic ability.
Your gonna tell me that Coupet would have gotten the ball, with Park pushing in on him?
Look at this picture. Park is shoving Barthez as he reaches for the ball.

I would not call you most of you on here "true" France supporters! If so, than you would stick by your "entire" team.
I seem to remember Barthez making a crucial save in the Swiss match... I guess most of you have forgotten that already.
Other wise, we would be out of the cup already!!!!!

Coupet has been better than Barthez in France for the last 3 years, the only thing for Barthez was that he had always been perfect playing for the French squad…
He's not anymore and our best keeper in France is on the bench…
Above all we are fed up with being fooled with statements such as "Great, thanks to the draw we stole 2 points to Switzerland" or "Everything was fine, we all played well the only thing is that we couldn't score" or "we are all happpy together and we all have faith in our coach" etc…
Fans almost have to beg for an autograph, not even a smile or a wave to kindly aknowledge they noticed them, and so on.
Trézeguet coming on the pitch after 91 minutes it's just a joke…
Common it is suppposed to be a huge fiesta and all we get is bureaucrats going to work with a gloomy face and a confidence diarrhea…
Liberté, égalité, fraternité,… vérité.

I think more passion shown would be better from the players to the fans. However, I feel Barthez comments yesterday were spot on. You have to stay positive. If one person becomes negative, it can bring the entire team down...just like in Korea 2002!
I do believe Coupet is a great keeper. I do not think he is better than Barthez. I understand you being upset, being a Lyon supporter and all, but Barthez has earned the right to play through good play and his history.
He hasn't done anything wrong in the WM to be given any critisism. Yes, I did see the ball slip from his hand but as a goalkeeper myself, it happens.
He is still right for this team.
I would say the same thing for Coupet as well if it were the other way around.
It's not the goalkeeper position that is hurting us this year or past. It's been the lack of scoring from Henry and friends that have.
