Adidas has a commercial where two kids are playing on a dirt field with all the stars. In the background there is a song with nice vocal harmonies. What song is that, and who is singing it?

Another question. Where is that pitch? I was thinking somewhere in Spain?

Given that vintage truck smacked by that rebound off that shot, it could be Cuba!

It looks like a place where there isn't steady rainfall though. I've never been to Cuba, but I imagine it looks a little tropical with trees and plants everywhere.

well, they're speaking spanish, but most of the players are krauts and frogs, so i am assuming they are somewhere around san antonio, texas.

Given by their accent and the word "VALE". I say it's in Spain.

According to an English newspaper article I found on the Web and am too lazy to find now, it's a working-class neighborhood of Barcelona.

The article was about a bunch of soccer commercials.

Also, the song won't officially be released until July 10. Which seems dumb, because I'm willing to pay 99 cents to put it on my iPod's World Cup playlist now, and will be less inclined when the whole thing is, you know, over.

I think Spain...it just has a Spanish air.

Interestingly, this drove me to learn that Castillian is still favored for in-home use (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalonia#Social_Use) and particularly for addressing parents in Catalunya (because so many of the previous generations migrated from elsewhere to Spain). I guess having one or both non-Catalan parents would explain why the kid's name is José and not Josep, maybe.

It's out there...I got it two weeks ago, from a pay-site based in Russia(!)

You could probably buy Jim Noir's excellent Tower Of Love album for like $9 somewhere:

I know it's been over a month since this was posted, but that has to be the funniest line that I've seen in a while.

I'm trying to identify all the players, but not in the commerical, on the poster. There are 36 players on the poster, only 25 on the commerical. I've got all but four identified. If you think you can help (three are current players, one is an older player from history) e-mail me --- jfallsman@yahoo.com.

Thanks!
