so, what explains what happened to the Czech Republic today, and what can we expect from them on Thursday against Italy with an Italian victory being the least complicated way for the US to advance with a win over Ghana?
i generally thought the Czech team looked slower today. was that due to Ghana's speed or was it due to an older team playing a second game in less than a week (with now another game looming with a similar rest period)?
was it just a question of who gets the first goal, with the czech's going on auto-pilot when they go up and scrambling more when they fall behind?
was it the absence of koller?
was it ordinary to poor shooting today as opposed to the phenomenal finishing rate that we saw in game 1?
i can't decide what to make of it and how good (or bad) this team really is.
