View Full Version : Poor crossing?

Does anyone else feel that the crossing for this tournament has been generally horrible? Ive seen so many crosses that go way over everybody, or bounce way too early. Even corner kicks have been bad in my opinion. You would think that the corner kick taker for a team representing a nation could stick that ball in there but ive seen numerous CK's that fly way over everybody in the box and go out for a throw-in on the opposite side. Beckham for example has had atrocious free kicks thus far...

Maybe im overanalyzing but geez I would think that most national team players would have better accuracy...

It all balances out when you consider the great crossing Ecuador have done :P

But yeah, i have also seen quite a few poor crosses and passes into the box, a few of which were certain goals if they were more accurate

what is your problem, my friend? I think it's you who needs some sunshine. I donno about Sacremento, but over here, it's a blue sky, and it looks lovely. If it wasn't for work, I would be enjoying it. Instead, I am stuck in doors staring outside from my office. But I will watch todays matches, just hope the boss doen't ghost up! haha

Anyway, yeah man, if the USA was spanking teams around, we would all be hearing it from you, so why can't I be proud of my team? :D

I want to note, Schweinsteiger for Germany has little control over his corners. Either he tries to bring em to a certain point, then they come low and are cleared, like a junior player who doesnt get it up. Or he uses rawness and they fly beyond everyone. But Schneider cant do much better. Too bad for them with their headers. The dangerous crossings I remember came from Lahm out of the flow.

Beckham has got assists in successive games from crosses, I don't think you can really criticise him. In fact his first cross against Paraguay was so good it forced an own goal.
