Here we go.....switching to ABC. Also unhappy about not seeing Johnson. Let's see what Dempsey can do.

I have not been a Dempsey supporter, but anyone is better than Beasley. Please prove me wrong Clint and score a goal. I would love to post how dumb I am.

Bruce had better get it right this time. Leaving EJ out when he was the only real threat in Game 1 is beyond my understanding. Also, I do not like the inclusion of Mastro, I would rather have O'Brien in, but John must not be ready for 90 minutes and the US can not afford giving up an early lead again.

Kasey Keller, just speaking on Australian television (SBS), saying that Italy "looks to punish the first mistake", and "would be happy to go through with a 1-0 win and two nil-nil draws".
Would be best to un-nerve Italy -- and do so early... take the game to them, someway, somehow, with this lineup.

Thank God we are in the white uniforms today. Not that I like them better than the away kits but we seem to play better when wearing the whites.
Maybe I'm just supersticious....

ABC is actually airing the Italian national anthem!! Maybe the snubing of the Czech anthem in the first game was our bad Karma... lets hope it is different this time!

Great response from the crowd on the national anthem....listen to them sing. Lots of US soldiers there. Put on a good show for them, guys.
This may be the best US crowd in Europe ever.

i predict we're gonna have to go down a goal before bruce brings in another forward in the 2nd half. why the hell do we keep playing with a lone striker and donovan in the midfield? why cant we just attack instead of playing so mired in the midfield. i hope i get proven wrong

Good luck to both teams. I will root for the United States of America.
Italy has possession after a US throw-in. Foul by Team USA. Italy has the football.
