If likely, who will avoid who???
Definetly FIFA will hate this senario but can it be avoided???

My guess is that Italy will lose to the Czech and hence finish second in their group and therefor meet Brazil in the round of 16. From there however, I think Italy will cruise to the final.

Yes, They will, its very probably! But anyway I do not mean That Brasil will win WC this Year. From S.A. team of Argentina looks better than team of Brasil till now.

This olso depend on today´s results of "group E". In Case Czech will beat Ghana I am sure We beat also Italy for 60% : 40 %. In Case not, Czech will win over Italy the same result.

I predict this game (Italy vs. Brasil 2:1 for Italy to win. The same for Czech team vs. Brasil.

The reasons are: WC is in Europe, Brasil looked after 1st match not so good like former World Cups. Italy looked more organizing team.

After today's group E games I'll have to say no, they won't meet in the round of 16. Basically all four group E teams have huge incentives to play for a win in their third games but with the Czechs so depleted due to injuries and card accumulation I see Italy winning, finishing first in the group, and avoiding Brazil.

If that is the case, either Ghana or the USA might get through by winning the other game. Italy cannot afford to lose. They can, however, draw the Czech Republic. Anyway, the Czechs are down with their 4th striker and they also lost their best defender.

I'm sure Italy will beat the Czech Republic. Italy will definitely want to reverse the common view after the draw with the USA. With the Czech injuries, I think the outcome will be even more evident. I hope that after that error with the USA, and the overconfidence we had, that Italy will be ready for the Czech Republic. I believe Italy learned a lesson, and I'm sure that will pass through.

And if Brazil is in our path, well, I'm sure Italy has the capability to take them on!

Ghana stands a decent shot of qualification as well, particularly if they play like they did against the Czechs.

If USA wins to Ghana, USA would have 4 & Ghana would have 3. So then there would be a tie for 2nd place.

It is decided by goal diffrence. In other words goals for and goals set against.

how is italy gonna beat brazil in r16 if they can't beat a crappy czech team? in my opinion i think italy is pretty weak and i dont expect them to go to far, btw the final is between brazil and germany. 2:1 in favor of brazil.

An Aussie fan here, and just to throw out a scenario I'd personally like to see. Seriously doubt it'll happen, but it's not impossible, and WC's have a habit of throwing up weird things;

USA beat Ghana

Australia 2-0 Croatia
Japan 1 - 0 Brazil (a Brazil with likely up to 7 or 8 first X1 players rested, mind you)

1. Australia (both 6 pts, equal GA, but Australia have superior Goals For)

Its not beyond the realms of possibility, but you are right in that it is unlikely.Brazil will finish top in group f with I think Australia second.Italy first in group e with Czech Rep second.So if we do beat or draw with Croatia, we will be playing Italy in round of 16.Japan could beat Brazil, but I seriously doubt it.I also doubt they'll rest that many players.But nice romantic notion nonetheless. ;)
