Celtic vs. Chivas de Guadalajara
Giants Stadium - East Rutherford, New Jersey
July 14, 7:45PM EST

Now that the match is back on, does anyone know if there are any plans to organize a Celtic supporters section (like we had in East Hartford against Liverpool)? I left a message on the Manhattan CSC boards too.

Barcelona v Chivas (MEX) tickets in LA are $50 and lower. Actually, onfield seats are $90 I think.

To add insult to injury there is a Red Bulls v. Rapids game @ 2:00 p.m. edt on the same day @ the same place.

From the Rapids Board:

The Chivas/Celtic match is set for 7:45 that night. Ideally, the two games would be combined into a single-admission doubleheader. However, based on the 2:00 start time, I assume that each match is a separate event with a separate admission. Especially since RBNY has nothing to do with the marketing and promotion of Chivas/Celtic, which is why RB season ticket holders were not offered a discounted presale.

I’m a Colorado boy. So If I make my way out to the Stadium for the 2:00 game (over by 4:00) and absent an invite from the Bhoys to assist with pre game warm-up what kind of entertainment, amusement, pubs can I anticipate waiting for me in the proximity of the Stadium??
I anticipate the answer might be a warm 6 pack in the parking lot.

Now this should be a great crowd. 2 of the most popular clubs in North America. Hope the football is good too.

You watch 75% or more of the crowd will be for Celtic! I still don't see all these new Chelsea supporters after Roman has spent 500 million pounds in the last 2 seasons.

Actually Cat i have seen a few pop up here recently and the funny thing is they are all Mexican? I don't get it. You would think they would be sporting Bolton or Barca Jerseys for Borgetti and Marquez. :D

That's pretty much your only option. There is a pub that takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to from the stadium and that is the closest option. They don't call it the Swamp for nothing. It's literally built in the middle of a swamp with highways all around. Maybe the racetrack will be open.

Those are the bests bring some beers and a ball and you will have a better time than you would at an overcrowded pub. I remeber tailgating for the Celtic-ManU and Celtic-Pool matches. Had a lot of fun with some folks that made the trip from the Ire and Scot as well as some ManU lads.
