We have to hope that England beats Sweden and we beat Paraguay by 2-0 or more. T&T has to come out with guns blazing.
Also, could anyone clarify this for me, Dwight Yorke will not be playing against Paraguay?

but it's interesting to see. In this game you cant have 11 men at own half. You have to attack.

SectionX, don't worry about this match. It's outcome should not be relevant. We can take ourselves to the 2nd round on our own power.

england is difficult. They have a world class team, and our creative forward zlatan is out.

Having seen both England and Sweden play, Sweden is the better team and I don't see England beating Sweden, far less beating them by 2 or more goals. Being a T&T supporter, this would be the ideal scenario for me for T&T to advance.
Sweden is actually my favorite European team, but of course they are rivals right now. So I have to say: GO ENGLAND. Sweden will have my full support for Euro 2008. :D

Thanks for the support but we will probably not be going to the euro 2008 since he have to come first in a group with Spain and Denmark also in it. Denmark who in my opinion is one of th better teams in europe but get no recognition.

I know of no reason why Yorke will not take part.
He only has one yellow card for the tournament, and has played all 180 minutes.
#8 Defender Cyd Gray will miss the game against Paraguay due to injury sustained in the game against England, He did finish the game, but when the muscles cooled down, the extent of the injury was revealed, and he will likely miss the rest of the tournament.
He has an able replacement waiting in the wings in #4 Marvin Andrews, but he shows up on the lists as being injured.
Will John Avery be back for the third game, after being double yellowed in the first game? If so, he will get the call.
Will Cornell Glen get some more playing time, as he made some good plays after coming on against Sweden in the 52nd minute.(2 shots, and 1 shot on goal). He was also brought on late against England. And what about Russell Latapy who was instrumental in igniting the team in qualification? When will he be rewarded with some playing time?
The team has surpassed all expectations already with the historic draw against Sweden, and stretching England to the dying minutes.
To move ahead, they have to beat Paraguay by 2-0 at least.(and count on England beating Sweden) They need some offense, some creativity, and some finishing around the net. They have to start offensive minded players and hope for an early goal, then stretch it to two goals, before they can afford to continue playing the way they have so far.
They have been one of the treats of the tournament so far.
It would be sweet to see them go through to the 16.
Not likely, but sweet, in view of Paraguay's disappointment so far, a win for them is not as crucial as a win for T&T.

Trinidad must play the most attacking game of their lives for Paraguay. Yorke, Latapy, Edwards and Evans Wise should control the midfield with Glenn and Collin Samuel up front.

I must say, I'm extremely disappointed that we haven't seen Latapy as yet. If it weren't for him we would never be here to begin with (IMO). He DESERVES playing time...

Jack sould be back in goal for this game I think
Glen and Jones up front - Stern John will come on for Jones in the final 30 mins
Wise will start in mid (on the left) Edwards will hold right
Latas an Birchall mid, Scotland will come on early in the second half or latas
I see Yorke deep in mid, a 3-5-2 setup (2 attacking midfielders on the wings)
Defense largely unchanged...
You see with the above changes TnT becomes a very attacking minded team, this game is all or nothing for us, we need to gamble.

It will be a very hard match but if T&T scores early they could take advantage of Paraguay's terrible morale now that they're out of the tournament.
As I've heard, Paraguay will finally present the CORRECT lineup for this game... The coach might try to win the game because he's completely messed up in the last two games, but then he's not the smartest guy and we may be seeing some more of his ugliness. Then if T&T is smart enough to read Paraguay's game and get past Caceres they might have this one.
