I think owen and rooney should start, with crouch plan b on the bench maybe then we will stop hoofing aimless long balls up front and rooney can link up with the attacking midfielder (gerrard), instead of him trying to play balls from our own half. i think crouch should be on the bench because although he scored the winner he did nothing but miss sitters for the whole match he is a good plan b, and we really need to get the owen and rooney partnership going or we will struggle to make the quarters

Since Sweden's form is improving, and played pretty well against Paraguay (except for finishing), I'd expect a virtually identical starting lineup: (Ibrahimovic is almost 100% sure to miss the England game due to his injury)
-----------------Isaksson----------------
Alexanderson--Mellberg--Lucic--Edman
-----------------Linderoth---------------
---Wilhelmsson-----------Ljungberg---
----------------Källström---------------
-------Larsson----------Allbäck--------
Likely subs:
Definately: Jonsson, Elmander
Potential: Svensson, Rosenberg

Ibrahimovic will be a blow to Sweden but Allback looked good when he came on.
We only need a draw to top the group, Sweden need to win. Which means we'll probably be all negative again.
Both teams are safe for the 2nd. Even if Sweden lose they'll still probably go through.
Lampard and Gerrard are both on yellow cards and after the 1st round those cards are vanished from them both so it could be wise to rest them to make sure we don't get them booked again but we want to win the group. I doubt Sven will drop them anyway.
We're not playing well at the moment and Sweden looked much better against Paraguay than they did against T&T (Sweden should of scored atleast 3 or 4 against Paraguay) so we've got to improve for this game.

Allback has looked pretty good as far as creating chances and being in the right place at the right time, yes... But he has had problems finishing. (Same for the other forwards, of course, but Allback had the best oppertunities by far)
But I think our goal scoring will get started now. Our play improved quite a bit against Paraguay, and I think the squad will go into the game with great self confidence, and play even better.
I also hope that Rosenberg gets to come in and play for a few minutes... I'd say take of Allback for Rosenberg at the 60-70 minute mark.

i have a question on koln stadium seating for the game.
i have a match ticket and if i was in section blue, block N4 right behind the goal post... does anyone know what team will be in that area? i like both teams but i do not have a specific team i am cheering for. i will be cheering for a great match! if anything at all, would it be wise to wear a red korea shirt, or would i get beat up and hasslsed? is a white shirt that says korea football on the back ok?

??? Don't you know that teams switch sides for each half? Or do you mean what fans?

You should be welcome wearing shirts for any country. For example, there was a guy waving a big swedish flag at the Argentina - Serbia & Montenegro game. :D You can see supporters for every country at every game. It's a great atmosphere, you won't get beat up whatever you wear!

I'm eager to see this match... Sweden is disciplined, and I have a funny feeling the English will find their form in this one.
And I REALLY want KALLSTROM to start!

Much depends on how much space and service Larsson gets in this one. Larsson is one of the greatest strikers of all time imo and if he gets room then Sweden will trouble any big side. I predict a draw and I fancy Sweden to beat the Germans big style. This is the best Swedish team I can remember.

I think England coulkd really get there engine going. So far they've played two teams thta have played very negatively. I think Sweden will play more openly and in both games they've left plenty of space in midfield which England should be able to take advantage of.
I'd like to see the Soca warriors join England in the next round, but I can't see it happening. T&T have proved to be excellentat backs-to-the-wall defending, but they need to win and will therefore have to play a much more open game. I've seen T&T play fairly open games a couple of times before the World Cup and they really can't do it. The only prospect I see them going through is to either nick a goal off a set piece or an individual goal from Yorke or Lapaty and then reverting to their defensive game.

It'll be a draw. The reason is that a draw sees both teams through, if Sweden go for the win they will be well aware that England could put a couple past them which would eliminate them if Paraguay lost to T&T. The best option for both sides is a draw, that way Sweden qualify (which is what they want) and England finish top of the group (which is what I want ;) )

Neither team is going to play for a draw, it's risky and for both teams a win is much more preferable. If Germany win their group and T&T are still in the hunt by the 85th minute it's possible that you'll see both teams play it out with time wasting and dribbling the ball into the corner flags, but both teams will set out to win this match.

Sweden need to win
I am not sure they do. We need to see what the result of the Germany game is first.
Germany, with their fans and shall we call it possible home FIFA favouritism will be a difficult match.

I´m not sure I agree with all this fear of germany talk. To me germany hasn´t looked good at all, and if ecuador manages to beat them, or draw against them in the final round of groupplay, I wouldn´t prefer them over Germany. If Ecuador wins the group, that probably meens that they are the stronger side, so then i would prefer to face germany. I meen they have had all the advantages of being the home team in all of the group matches as well, and still hasn´t impressed more then Ecuador. Germany has a greater history, but I think Ecuador would be just as difficult in the next round.

After germany and ecuador have played it's more "easy" to predict any results in this game. The realistic result would be 0-0 or 1-1, but i have a feeling the end result will be England 0 Sweden 6.
