No, not in Germany, but here in Toronto,Canada on Sunday. Portugal's win over Angola caused a party of tens of thousands in the portuguese section of town.... that's when english soccer fans arrived on foot and cars looking for a fight. Dozens were arrested and police rained down from all directions. Toronto police are prepared for Saturday's Portugal game.

"Seeing so many cars in this city flying foreign flags, most being driven by native- born Canadians, always boils my blood."

Wow, he actually took the time out to ask every individual he saw flying a foreign flag if they were native-born.

"Who cares who wins the World Cup? Canada isn't even represented."

Only a couple of billion people care.

These people making a point about all the flags flying on cars in Canada are just a bunch of dolts. Canada isn't even represented in the world cup, why in the world is it surprising that nobody has a Canadian flag on their car.

When any major hockey tournament is going on, every minority is draped in Canadian gear.

If Canada are to make it to the big show in the future, then you'll see the flags out.

That was just a letter to the editor from some angry bigot, it is in no way a reflection of Canada. It was a pretty peaceful event, I believe the only disturbance was youth gang related.
