If Germany plays the way they have been playing, and Ecuador plays the way they have been playing, I think that Ecuador will win. Not that I'm willing to bet any money or sexual favors on it mind you. I was expecting Ecuador to get ripped in this cup, so I had pinned my hopes on Costa Rica. I am really surprised by Ecuador. They play a very nice attacking style of futbol and dominated both teams they've played. Whereas Germany and struggled a little bit. I should also state that I want Ecuador to win, so clearly, I'm biased here.

but then kick England out of the tournament. :D

Enguland versus Germany in the second round would be wonderful. One of them would be out! I'd prefer to see the Brits hit the road, but either way, one of them would get tossed. Clearly, I'm showing my western hemisphere bias here. (I just don't like the way most Euro teams play the game.)

I should also say that I'm confident that Ecuador can take either England or Sweden in the second round. The Brits have looked shakey at best, the Swedes have turned in only one good match.

Ecuador impressed me in their previous two games, but I'd be very surprised if they managed to beat Germany, particularly with non-starters. 2-1 to Germany.

I think its Dangerouse looking at how england have played in their last two games. They havent even hit 75% let alone 100% form. I reckon with wayne Rooney back and playing fully fit England will start to peak at the right time ie against whoever in the last 16.

Paraguay played not 10 men behind the ball. I have seen their games. On paper they are in the same league like Ecuador. In the current form they are worse than Ecuador but they are surely much better than T&T.
