I have 2 questions to put to you...
1 - If Sven Goran E is such a brilliant coach, why has he still got England playing hoof it and hope? Hardly the "beautiful game". Their midfield is the equal of any in the world but it seems they are not allowed to be given the ball with their backs to the opponents goal. The main tactic seems to be belt it forward and hope Crouch can knock it down for the midfielders. Its surprising Gerrard, Lampard and co don't have neck problems from looking up so often watching the ball fly over.
2 - Why do England think they needed an Englishman as the next manager? I heard all the crap about "only an Englishman understands the passion we feel for the country" hahaha. Does anyone ever look back on who the coach was of a world cup winner or do the fans just care that the team won? With Hiddink and Scolari, among others, getting other nations to fire like never before does anyone really believe the England mentality?
I know that was more than 2 questions but you get my point!

2. It's what we know best. We are used to British based managers, Sven was a very new thing to us. Although he hasn't done badly, he has been boring, the team has been medicore and our performances have been very inconsistant under him. The media (c|_|nts) also have a role in the search for an British based manager, so they promoted alot of the propoganda about only the English understanding such passion.... Much like you Australians believing the long ball propoganda.

But whatever, the fact is with your wording above (bolded) I'm willing to bet your just bitter & cynical, and not really looking for answers.

I dont know why these spazzeroo's are suddenly trying to lecture everyone with their "football wisdom" .
They get lucky once in their lifetime and all of a sudden they are springing up allover the place.
The sap who started this thread actually thinks we rate sven as an "excellent coach".
