Myself and a buddy are arriving in Frankfurt (FRA) at 9am Saturday, then need to get to K-Town for the Italy game. Particularly for anyone posting from Germany: how best/cheapest can we do this?

For example, via the Die Bahn website I can get a roundtrip fare of 30 Euros, from Frankfurt train station to K-Town and back in time for our return flight on Sunday. Should I buy them online? And how easy is it to get from FRA to the train station? Or can we expect to just arrive on Saturday am and still get the 30 Euro roundtrip fare?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Best option is to use the train from Frankfurt to K-Town. If you are flying in I beleive the train has an airport stop. If not then there are trains from the airport to the Main station. Just look at the train board when you get there. Its a very short ride from the airport to the main station (Hbf)

I am going from Frankfurt to Kaiserslautern on Tuesday for the T&T Paraguay game. Just to be sure, there shouldn't be any problem with just buying my ticket when I get to the train station, will there?

Get there plenty early and buy a ticket...it should not be a problem. I am not sure what the crowds will be like for the cup, but on a normal summer day you will be able to go to the train station and get the ticket you need. Good luck.

Once you clear customs, you will see a sign for trains to Frankfurt. Follow the sign down to the platform. All trains stopping at the airport stop at the Frankfurt Main train station (Hauptbahnhoff). Once there, take the escalator upstairs to the ticket office. There are plenty of train officials there who speak English, so don't sweat it.

There is a good sized amount of people who used SoccerTravel here in Frankfurt. Im not sure if we are planning to do it again but for the Czech game everyone met up and took the train together. The car I was in was pretty much all US fans.

I was at the Frankfurt airport trainstation last night on my way back from Munich. It's very easy. You do not need to go to the Main Station in Frankfurt.

Folks are very helpful. You can buy your tickets on line and print it out. Just look for the signs to your train, they have toteboards that show which platform to go to or you can ask someone at the station. - the cars will have either a 1 or 2 for the class on the side.

Actually - lol - we don't have one. It's just one night, we have no money...so we're just going to stay up and out through the night. Hopefully.
