LMAO ur funny guy.. um theres this thing called the K-league and ya it really ruins ur chances of becoming as "European" as France (and besides the fact that u'll never produce players the caliber of Platini, Zidane, Henry, etc. nor will you ever have ppl like jules rimet, Gabriel Hanot, Henri Delaunay ) but really no its ok to dream
Never mind, you didn't get the joke.

"France coach Raymond Domenech insists Thierry Henry will have as many strike partners as he wants when Les Bleus play World Cup Group G leaders South Korea."

While i do agree french soccer is superior to the koreans as of now, and in the near future. You either lose, or you either win, not this arrogant bull$hit about "beating ourselves up." That is just pityful excuse fans usually makes.

You're his buddy and you don't know if he's from the North or South?
Too funny.
Does that mean he's also not sure whether you're French or Spanish? :D

France became really something in football only in the end of the 70's, not before. Okay there was a tiny spark in the mid 50's with Raymond Kopa, but that's it.
It's a bit presomptuous to say that "Korea will never have a strong team". How can we know ? Even in the 70's, it was simply impossible to imagine France winning a world cup one day.
I wouldn't be surprised personally that in about 30 or 40 years there will be various football powerhouses in Asia. However, no one knows, it's impossible to predict the future on such a long range.
However, as for the situation currently, what I can say is that I'll be very sad if we lose on Sunday, I like better not to think about it. We have the potential to win this game, now let's do it !
Allez les bleus ! :)

I think he was just pointing out that North/South Koreans are just as different as French/Spanish are. :)
Anyway, even if Korea can never emulate European football, maybe flourish in Asian football?? O.O lol. Well anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the game...

let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater! there's finally a semblance of a system, play it 10 meters higher up the field and bob's your uncle.
malouda isn't any more the saviour of the team than ribéry, but at least it allows us to use ribéry as a joker on 60'-70'... for viera if that makes you happy ;) .
korea will by playing just as defensively as the swiss, since a nil keeps them at worst in 2nd place in the group, but as said by others, if we can't torch the koreans the players are better off in st. tropez.
i also mentioned the 21h start times as being important, but in any case the heat in europe seems to be subsiding this morning, which is still good news.
and with the difficulty die mannschaft had getting unstuck last night, i imagine the pitch watering henry and domenech are calling for will become a reality!
While it may make sense for Korea to play for a 0-0, Korea has always had an attacking mentality to where I think it's more likely to be a 3-2 score than a 0-0.

The granddaddys cannot win the World Cup...
Mexès, Bodmer, Ribery and Toulalan :
The next key players of France, what do you think about it ?

I think France needs to beat South Korea, then anything is possible.

I find it a little bit disconcerting that no one is willing to give credit to where Korea do best: stamina. We may not have the strikers that France has. We may not have the creative passers that France has. We're certainly not as strong physically. But the one thing that I'm confident Korea does better than France is lasting longer. French posters seem to be thinking that if they lose, it'd be because France beat themselves. But isn't it possible that Korea could play at a hectic pace, wear France out, score a goal near the end and win? Isn't that a legitimate way to win? I'm not saying this is what will happen, but it is possible. Stamina is a real skill advantage.
Or do French posters here think that France even has better stamina than Korea?

France to win this game.
They have too much experience compared to the relative young inexperienced Korean squad.
They've been there & done that ( WC/Euro).

I think South Korea is blessed with stamina and will use it to their advantage. However, France is in a position with it's back up against the wall. Now is the time to unleash the giant.

What are you worried about? France will break out of the doldrums and storm through a 4-1 win. Well, at least that's my hunch anyway.
