The French team dominated us throughout most of the game and we were extremely lucky the linesman didn't call that goal that crossed the line. I hope you guys are upset with the linesman and not with us for that big mistake. :o

First i'm upset with Domenech who misuses Henry. We need Saha and maybe Trezeguet... Why not playing 4-3-3, with Zidane out.
2- i'm upset with Zidane who still believes he's the king of the world. man you're just so full of shit, slow and unable to win your duels without making fouls
3- credits to the team of Korea
I don't mind if Vieira scored or not, we should have played better.

Heh... game turned out exactly as i wouild have said. France pressure / score early. Near the end we were lucky to get a equalizer, and in the last 10 minutes, the french team did start tiring. still we were outmatched. Lucky to come out with the tie. Congratz for france for coming out of the scoring slump. Bad call on Zidane i really wanted him to play against togo. anyways u guys still have a chance to make it out of this group.
GL with togo.

I hope you guys are upset with the linesman and not with us for that big mistake. :)No worries Yimmy, I'm neither upset at your team nor at the linesmen. As for linesmen, mistakes happen and as for your team, they've struggled with what they've got.
What deeply annoys me is actually that France can't play more than 60 minutes. But that's rather natural, our team is made of grandpas. However, there's really ONE thing which actually INFURIATES me, it's that with our team of grandpas, Domenech waits the 90th minute to make his substitutions.
It was obvious since the 55th minute that our team was slowing down. In such a context, we do not wait ! We put in both Ribéry and a 2nd forward, no matter Saha or Trezeguet, and we get Zidane out and Wiltord out. What the F**K was Domenech waiting for ???? Was he satisfied by a 1-0 against Korea ?!??!!???!!!?
Korea is amazingly weak. I don't care if we may have a penalty or if one goal has been refused, there's no excuse, we could have easily scored 4 goals simply during first half time. We don't defend against such a weak opposition, we continue to attack, and if our players are exhausted, WE CHANGE THEM !!!
When did Domenech played in footie ? In the 50's ? We have substitutions now and when we have old players we should make them early !!! Are you so incompetent to not even be able to realize this Ray ?
I... don't know what to say. :(

I'm sick and tired of these marginal results. I'm sick of all the excuses. WE've had some horrible coaches after Aime Jacquet! PUTAIN DE MERDE CA FAIT SHIT CE RESULTAT! RA LE BOLE!

this isn't the first time we've been up 1-0 and it became 1-1 israel, swiss and sweden the same thing happened i think domenech is like a wannabe murinho and like to crunch out his results 1-0 but doesnt have the mental capacity that poor little bugger. and the 4-5-1 he uses i would rather see trez as the lone striker instead of henry, it fits him more. maybe henry could play left winger instead of malouda

I wonder if anyone else noticed Trezeguet's gleeful reaction when he came on & decided to make himself captain. Under the circumstances if he had reacted like that for England he would have been lynched. Highly unprofessional.
Umm... Wasn't it Zidane's responsibility to hand the captaincy to someone else before going off? Of course Zidane didn't care at that point...

My sincere apologies to all frenchmen, domenech has got to be one of the worst managers i've ever seen, and we have seen a sh!tload of them in england managing our national side.
how the heck can he justify waiting till the 90th to put in trezeguet, and starting wiltord over saha.
damn, i'm so sorry. It is absolutely atrocious because despite having some guys on the wrong side of 30 on your team, the team still has a boatload of talent and anyone would pick them to make it to the finals but damn,
and please tell me what does coupet have to do to get the nod over barthez, barthez to you lot is what david james is to us.
my comisserations.

I've been preachin that along those boards for quite a while and I agree, that's the only way we should play in 4-5-1. But Dom isn't a BigSoccer member anyway...:(

You want him to walk all the way back to Barthez' goal? he gave it to Ribery to pass it back.
He did that last time too and it reached Barthez, but Trezeguet was left off the pitch and thus couldn't try to snatch it at the time. Which, terribly, was the high point of the match because it was hilarious.

Also, why didn't we bring on EXTRA attackers when they equalized?
What was the point of replacing, don't you try everything in your might to WIN, we're France, why are we ACCEPTING a draw??
Why didn't we keep Zizou on and take off Vieira and even Makelele and replace them w/ 2 strikers and just TRY.
It's like we don't want anyone to see we're desperate when we should BE and SHOW it... maybe that's the difference. We'd rather lose w/ foolish pride than open ourselves up to a possible beating by just giving a damn and going for it.
We don't take any risks. w/ even 10 mins left in the match! How is that possible, it is the world cup, it is do or die and we're ********ing getting killed out here and not only that, but we're being humiliated in the process as well. How ********ing embarrasing and sad.
We have given ourselves no control over anything and it was all up for grabs. Again it is down to the last game to qualify under Domenech....

Henry being a class act. Despite unjut loss, trades jersies with Seol.

Henry being a class act. Despite unjust loss of a legitimate goal, trades jersies with Seol.

Coming from an Italian fan with a French last name, you guys got screwed. France not only should have won that game, they should have Zizou for the last match. A goal denied, and a yellow on a dive. It was terrible. I feel bad for you all. Good luck in match 3.

thanks^
on another note, apparently the match against Togo is Zizou's birthday :( Another reason to do well.
(Although wasn't Djib's injury reason to do well too? Or for that matter, just simply doing well for your country?)

Yes France has great players BUT
I don't think Korea was that bad in the game.
They knew how to defend.
Block Zidane and Henry and they knew that Zidane and Henry are not helping each other.
No wonder Korea had 3 DMF.
And Henry's first goal was lucky too.
It is ugliest goal to me if you think korea's goal is ugliest
France attacked a lot but there was no harmony.
But Koreans had strong will and physical to sustain for 90 min.
And they were more focused in the game.
I am glad since at least French do not complain to refree like her neighbor Italians who never stop whining.
By the way, about that multi cultural stuff. Is that why France suffered from crazy riot?
Multi cultural doesn't mean open minded. Don't be confused.
Good luck with Togo.

Just read an article on Advocaat's pre-game tactics.
It seems that he wanted the Korean players to let France take control of the game and invite them in so they would quickly become exhausted. Of course he didn't expect that early goal, but regardless he continued with this plan. With the start of the second half, he then had our players gradually begin their attack and hit them when they were clearly gassed.
Interesting...
Domenech played into Avocaat's tactic, it seems.

no YOUR goal was lucky after watching a bunch of replay of the goal i noticed that if barthez hadn't of swiped at parks desperate toe poke it would have gone over or hit the post. lol so you could say barthez indirectly screwed us over (like agianst senegal) but im sure coupet would have don the same. and ur just being dumb because u kno our goal wasn't ugly no korean forward has that kind of poise in front of goal.
