I actually thought sagnol played his ass off, and this was the most ive seen him work on the offensive side of the ball in a long time

By the way, I dont want to seem like a hater, but the goal Korea score is the ugliest of the tournement, even uglier than the own goals. It was just crap
That was on Barthez and Gallas, but France could have gotten back into the game given some earlier subs and the right tactics.
Take Vieira out, Put Trez up front with henry, perhaps score the second goal before Korea scored theirs etc.

I am pleased with this result. Korea are a difficult opponent and improving every year. It could have been a lot worse. Our chances for the round of 16 are realistic. Even if Togo lose tomorrow, I have a feeling they will lay down and allow us to pile up enough offense in order to qualify on goal differential.
By the way, that ball looked like it crossed the line in the 1st half. Nice job, linesman!

Willy was good, he ran his heart out and tried everything he could, so did Ribery when he came in. Just needed that from everyone.
If you have a player like Trez, who looked so hungry on the sidelines, you have to bring him in, thats exactly the motivation and ambition France needed.

It was beautiful to me :D
France was better team but Korea didn't give up and managed to escape with draw.

France are cursed & stupid at the same time. In the 2nd half the team looked like it didn't care about scoring the 2nd goal until it became absolutely necessary. They didn't take many risks and paid for banking on the 1-0 advantage.
I can't remember a decent second half attempt that the French created until after they had conceded the equaliser when Vieira & Henry could & should have scored.
The team played positively in the opening stages of the first half but then proceeded to play well within themselves after scoring the goal. Korea didn't realise pose a threat but they were always going to have at least one good opportunity to equalise given how the game was going. In the end French team fell on their own sword.
I wonder if anyone else noticed Trezeguet's gleeful reaction when he came on & decided to make himself captain. Under the circumstances if he had reacted like that for England he would have been lynched. Highly unprofessional.
P.S. How the hell did Slyvain Wiltord get into the squad ahead of Guily? He is not upto the required standard.

Domenech and Guily are not friends. You would know that if you followed Les Bleus. No one can make the national side unless Domench likes you  .

Yes man , I noticed too. Trez seemed to be enjoting the lost, and was acting as if he didn't care about the scoreline. He was almost saying that , thats what happens when u dun play me.

People! People! The reason why France loss is the fault of coach Domenech. The man refused to put in trezeguet into the match long before the south koreans tied the match. check out the l'equipe website. i betcha they will slam him very hard.

I don't know if you read the previous threads, but the consensus here believes he was smiling because he wasn't supposed to get get the captains armband and he put it on anyway aka "Fcuk You Raymond".

it's unsportsman-like but hell, i understand his sentiment. And i'm pretty sure every one of the players feels animosity towards domenech. I'd love to see a video of that though, was too busy fuming and missed it.

kudos to the french midfield. we could do nothing there for most of the match. they were a bit unlucky to get a draw. hopefully korea beat switzerland and france plays spain.
