That's just silly. Don't you think if he was an 11 year old girl Sven would have put him on the squad? :)

Clearly you have not followed Eriksson's substitutions and tactics for the last 4 years.

Yes Sven has made mistakes, but can anyone tell me an England manager with better competitive game stats? I didn't think so. Think before you type. Oh, and BTW, enjoy Steve Mclaren, thanks to retarded anti Sven sentiment we now have ginger pubes to look forward to, a man who has one league cup trophy to his name to mark a career in management. Now we will struggle to qualify for euro 2008, and Russia are going to bitch slap us, home and away. By 2007 you will be dreaming of the days of 5 - 1 v Germany, 1 - 0 and 3 - 2 vs Argentina, and for sure you will miss having an England team that the rest of the world respects, instead of the international laughing stock that it has been since the 1970s.

Who gives a monkeys about "game stats"? Anyone with a clue about the game realises stats do not tell the whole story.

Eriksson has made bad mistakes, anybody with two eyes can see that. He may not be a bad manager, but he certainly isn't up there with the best - managers that actually took us to hard fought semi-finals and Sir Alf.

Nobody wanted McLaren, but saying that this will be some kind of just reward for anti-Sven sentiment is laughable. Much like the rest of your post which sounds like the bitter rant of someone who is not English in the slightest.

Why do I get the distinct feeling you are a sockpuppet of a certain troll who has been polluting this forum over the past week?

Dear Sven,

Does Faria spit or swallow and what about Ulrika, does she like her bum smacked, when you do it doggy-doggy?

Never mind the football questions, we'll get divine guidance on them, from Glen Hoddle!

Love and kisses,
WHU

Some of you are so pompous it's unreal. You talk like you're master tacticians or football gods. Someone expresses an opinion about Sven and you pounce on it like leeches, suck the passion out of it and spit it out onto the towering mass of other peoples thoughts you've amassed. Yours it appears, are only only thoughts you're interested in. Disagree, that's fine, express your opinion, that's good too but this constant miserable trashing of anything you don't understand is and always has been the backbone of failure. The bitter minority, too selfish to see beyond their own small minds are the wrecking balls of society raised in playgrounds across the world under the heading of bully.

Managing football teams that easy? Go ahead big shots and show us how it's done. The world is bursting at the seams with people that claim, 'I could have' but it's the ones that did something about it that who are to be admired. Win, lose or draw, at least they have what it takes to get that far. Some of you are, and in most cases always will be, the baggage that weighs down progress.

For the record I agree and truly enjoyed that letter to Sven. It was original, different, meaningful and something special that one of our own has chosen to share with us. My thanks to englandwcwinnerso6 for your contribution. You inspired me to remember, helped me see the world just a little clearer and though our ever present snipers took cheap shots at you, I hope your message isn't lost.

Yes Sven has made mistakes, but can anyone tell me an England manager with better competitive game stats?

Ramsey:
wins: 1
finals: 1
semis: 2

Robson:
wins: 0
finals: 0
semis: 1

Venables:
wins: 0
finals: 0
semi-finals: 1

Sven:
wins: 0
finals: 0
semis: 0

There we go, three managers with better stats than Sven (and all on less wages). Not that I understand what you're trying to prove by comparing Sven to other England managers, most England managers are less than useless.

For the money we're paying, let's instead compare him to Scolari, Parreira, Pozzo, Feola etc. I bet they never got 4 million a year, and they got RESULTS, something Sven thinks is merely an afterthought.

Oh, and BTW, enjoy Steve Mclaren, thanks to retarded anti Sven sentiment we now have ginger pubes to look forward to

What's the difference? We'll get zero trophies under either of them. At least we're paying him less, but still above market rate for a manager with no success. But then the FA have as little financial sense as they do ambition (i.e. zero).

Now we will struggle to qualify for euro 2008, and Russia are going to bitch slap us, home and away.

At least it'll save us the embarrasment of seeing our 'world class' team flop yet again. Maybe another tournament miss will reduce all the undeserved hype. I'm of the opinion that these 'world class' players should win something before being classed as world class.

and for sure you will miss having an England team that the rest of the world respects

People respect England players, not the England team.

instead of the international laughing stock that it has been since the 1970s.

England will always be a laughing stock as long as we have an FA primarily concerned with making money through sponsorship and ticket sales than actually bringing in a manager who will win trophies.

I mean, choosing a manager based on whether they will keep Beckham as captain. It's probably made up, but with this FA, it's entirely believable.
