Allons enfants de la Patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!
Contre nous de la tyrannie,
L'étendard sanglant est levé,
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger vos fils, vos compagnes!
Aux armes, citoyens,
Formez vos bataillons,
Marchons, marchons!
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

as for l'origine du monde, it was hidden for a long while under another painting. it was originally painted for a bey or a sultan, and when it got back to europe the world wasn't ready for it.

It's the one thing I liked about Frances game against the Swiss; hearing that wonderfull anthem again. To me, when you hear that anthem, you should be 1-0 up already. But why don't the players sing along with it? Only Coupet and he was on the bench! It's a battlecry for god's sake. It's perfect!
Painting's pretty decent too ;)

Witness protection plan will soon be activated to save the life of Raymond Domenech. A new home (in a remote part of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon), a new job, a new identity :

He has be warned not to come back until World Cup 2094.
