If I wasn't leaving for Germany this Wednesday and missing 7 days of work for the Cup, I would have done the same. I'm pissed I have to watch on DVR delay, but a man's got to do what a man's got to do. Go US!

I kindly asked the schedule maker to not assign me for work today....When she asked why I told her, and she understood and gave me the day off!!

Right now, I'm wishing that I hadn't taken the day off work. :(

I told my workplace I was going to be in later today, but after today, I wish I wasn't in at all. ARGH!

Same here. 90 minutes of U.S. soccer brought on ten times more frustration than 8 hours of work would have, and on top of that, I don't get paid for it. Bruce Arena owes me money.

I had already planned taking today and next Thursday off, using
"religious obligation" as reason. :D

We could use a resurrection... or we could just crucify Bruce Arena.

I got lucky, currently working for the fokes and there is a tv in the office so I hung up my flag wore my jersey and watched the match.

but not so lucky as I was supposed to be in germany for the game and had to return to Cali last month.

but looking for more fans to watch the next match with. I am currently in the 707 area code area.

well everyone try and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Well, if the first doesn't happen, I'm pretty sure the second will.

I had a 2+ hour "brainstorming lunch"

The bar/restaurant was packed at the start....only about a dozen of us at the end of the game. sigh

I took a vacation day to watch this debacle. I also planned to take a vacation day to watch the game against Ghana. I will now instead go to work. Watching these fools is not worth a vacation day. I will Tivo the game and watch it when I get home. If its worth watching, that is.

The last time an Arena coached team looked good were the January friendlies when we fielded our B team against the Japanese and Norwegian B teams. That's it. This team has looked like sh!t ever since then. I was foolish enough to believe this team would look good today. Not win necessarily, but certainly not be an embarrassment. What a freaking waste of time.

Arranged a half day so I could see the match at the Crown & Anchor in Las Vegas. The bar was full of US supporters (and 2 Czech fans), though there were maybe 8 of us total in any sort of US gear. Great turnout, and I hope more show up on Saturday.
