Saw this picture of Drogba diving Vs Argentina and it reminded me of a pic of Ruud diving in euro 2004. The similarities in the pictures are uncanny.

Ruud scores higher due to greater height from the ground, straighter arms, and you'll notice he's kept his legs closer together, whereas Drogba has space between his. Ruud also has a better arch to his torso and a better expression of anguish. It's still a v.good effort by Drogba but at the top level it's little things like that which will drop points for you.

Well, you want to get as much distance as possible to enable those photographers to get as many 'in-flight' pictures as they can.

Even though Drogba has several 'minor faults' he is still light years ahead of those South American 'rollers' who simply roll over and over. Whilst this can be entertaining as you count the number of revolutions, like some boxing count-out, there are no oppurtunities for the still photographer who will simply catch a picture of a player lying on the ground...

Yes, height is a key factor. More height indicates a more egregious fake foul.

Drogba is getting 6.3. Nice extenstion on the arms, could get better height and leg extension. Nice pained expression.

RVN is getting a 6.5. quality overall performace, only real criticism is that the lack of a defender in the picture hurts overall presentation.
