Calling them "Côte d'Ivoire" in an English-speaking forum is a really big pet peeve of mine. We don't call Germany "Deutschland" or Austria "Österreich" on the boards, so why not just stick with Ivory Coast?
That said, I'll be rooting for them today.

Côte d'Ivoire is their official name. Look on any english-speaking map where Deutschland is called "Germany" and you will see "Côte d'Ivoire" as well. It's their name - in both French and English.

First match of GOD#1 here we go... anybody catch the irony of the "Fair Play Is My Game" flag while panning across the Argentines? (Though they definitely forgot Drogba...)

They changed it to its official name - because its called numeorus things in various languages throughout the world. Decided to make the French version the official one. Of course the English version is still widely used out of official capacities.
