The T&T - Sweden result leaves England in a great position. If they win this match they're almost assured of winning the group. However, if Sweden beats Paraguay they can still win the group by beating England, even if England defeats T&T. Given that chance, England needs to be at full strength for Sweden.

Both Gerrard and Crouch picked up cards today. If they're carded in this match they can't play against Sweden. Should Sven hold them out against T&T?

He has plenty of options available in the midfield, so he probably can afford to sit Gerrard. But if he decides to sit Crouch then he either plays Owen as a lone forward or pairs him with Rooney, who surely isn't fit, or Walcott.

Most coaches wouldn't start Walcott against Sweden, but then most wouldn't have brought him to Germany in the first place. I have no idea what Sven will do, but if I'm Sven I'll take a chance and start Walcott, because if Crouch is carded against T&T, I'm faced with the same decision in the next match, when I'm up against a stronger opponent.

Of course if I were Sven I'd have brought Dafoe or Johnson or Bent, but I'm not. It's your team Sven and your move.

As for Trinidad and Tobago, it will be very hard for them to put together another effort as magnificent as today's. I have always preferred Hislop to Jack but I think he played a bit over his head, and I also wonder if Dwight Yorke can come up with another strong performance. T&T only have scored 12 goals in their last 13 competitive matches (Hexagonal, playoff with Bahrain, Sweden), which is a rate below Paraguay's.

T&T will be even more inspired against England than they were today, but I don't think they can win another point.

England 2-0.

Hmm can't wait for this, Englands attack was dissappointing against Paraguay and its gonna be nice to see how T&T hold out and show that the Sweden match wasnt just luck, course that would require another MOTM performance from Hislop. I hope to see walcott in this game, not saying he may do much but i just wana see the kid play since i dont really care who wins here :p

their goalkeeper is something else. you'll need to be sharper than you were against paraguay to beat him.

Should be an interesting game, Lots of the Trinidad players are based in England so they'll be up for this game for sure and we are the former colonial power. I was impressed with T & T against Sweden, they had great fitness levels and defended very well.

Hopefully our preformance will improve for this game and hopefully get the win that would send us through to the 2nd round.

Well i don't know what was the matter with him. If he was lucky or what. He didn't make any mistakes.

Trust me, he played a blinder and Sweden were unlucky to be the team on the receiving end. Watch him on thursday, he's a solid keeper but nothing special.

Doubt we'll see 4-0 to be honest.

Oh, we have the quality alright, but as soon as we'd go 2-0 up, off will come the attacking players.

We may bag another late goal however.

sweden play against 1 goal for 90 minutes, it was just our terrible finishing that stopped us. England is a better team than sweden.

Not disputing that at all.

Sven won't let the team go for 4 goals.

If we enter the second half up by 2 goals or more, we'll see 4-5-1 with all defensive subs coming on.

sven is ultra cautious beyond belief.
I bet he sends on his buddy hargreaves to "protect the lead" if we are in front in the last 10 mins.
In euro 2004 he sent on both phil neville and hargreaves.
he gets 5 million a year for this???
its so painful its almost funny.:o

Yeah, what is this love affair he has with Hargreaves all about anyway? Why must he always sub the guy in? I think England should win but I just don't get SGE at all.

Im not quite sure what Sven sees in Hargreaves .
hargreaves is just another phil neville type utility player .
I dont think I have ever seen hargreaves have a single positive contribution to the team in all his matches so far.

I'm sure Beenhakker already has the team focussing on this one. Going back to yesterday's game against Sweden, I remember Leo and Dwight saying to the press that they were ready for Sweden.

My guess is they will be ready for England too. Dwight and Stern John and co know the English style of play and it would be a great achievement to beat England. It will be an emotional game for Chris Birchall.
