Been watching sweden's game. At half time the Budweiser (who sponser the show) advert comes on.

Two american commentators eating hotdogs trying to explain the off side rule with no luck.

I hope the USA go all the way and adverts like this might stop.

It's actually pretty funny.

Nothing new here. In the last World Cup one of the English papers ran what they claimed was a transcript from an American broadcast of one the games, in which the commentator made all sorts of stupid remarks which allegedly demonstrated the total lack of understanding of the game in the US. A lot of people actually thought it was a real transcript, although it would be obvious to any one of us that it was just too OTT to be true.

1. What beer do they drink in England?

2. Anyone who drinks Budweiser in Germany should be ashamed of themselves.

You should have a damned clue that the "Brits" dont field a football team. England does though, and you seem no more knowledgeable than they do as long as you call Englishmen "Brits".

Brits, Brats, Englishmen, Wankers- we don't really care OK? And we don't beat off over Beckham pictures like you do.

LOL.

Take a look in the English forum, most want Becks dropped or swiftly subbed out.

Ahhh - guess you just added to the 'perception' of not knowing whats going on eh :D

You probably call Southerners, "Yanks."

Englishmen are "Brits," btw. Just not all Brits are English.

Budweiser?? An American company doing that? Bunch of traitors! ;)

Just for that Theakston Old Peculiar should run an ad:
Bar Man - would you like a Bud?
Customer - no thanks. I drink beer.

Having seen all these ads now (and they aren't "English" ads), most of them are pretty funny.

Commentator A. "Hey, how about that dummy in the first half?"
Commentator B. "Ha. I have to say, that guy was a COMPLETE idiot."
Commentator A (looks confused)

Why would any 'Brit' even wanna know the US team 'roster' or whatever the ******** you call it, none of them will ever make a name for themselves outside of the US anyway.

After your showing at this World Cup, none of them exactly made thmeslves into household names did they?

Why? because not one single one of them did anything for us 'Eurosnobs' to take notice of or anything of interest to us thats why.

Don't complain about the English too much. They make Americans look respectful by comparison abroad. Ask the Danes, Dutch, and Germans who they prefer as guests.

well I´m German but interested in USMNT...I know all your players and I bet if I made test about USMNT , I would pass this test. I read american press and BS here. Englishmen can learn from me. I can tell them about USA team.
