ABC delay

i was watching the trinidad and tobago vs sweden game on univision(spanish)
and then i decided to change it to ABC. when i changed it i noticed that ABC has like a 8 second delay. the stuff that happened on univision it happened on ABC like 8 seconds later. has anyone else noticed that??

Yup. Was the same in 2002. Not sure why they do it.

Maybe they're delaying it so the director can feed the announcing crew some more of those fascinating facts and baseball analogies.

i agree...i watch spanish station for the anthems n pregame showings,then switch to espn/abc to get commentating, even tho very disappointed in it, i cant speak spanish so i wanna hear ne news that is goin on or relative info they give us in english

Funny how you get some actual buildup to matches on Univision, while the US telecast cuts straight to kickoff without so much as an introduction to what teams their viewers are actually watching.

Great piece of repeating in-game info: periodic drop-down kit color banners from upper screenshot identifying for us exactly who Sweden and who TnT is. Wouldn't want anybody gettin' confused now.
